KIDSPORT UPDATE JUNE 2018
Not long now until our Winter Sports will be gearing up for their registration days – sporting clubs and parents are advised to go onto the KidSport website to register.
All the current KidSport information is available on the website; the main link is here: www.dsr.wa.gov.au/kidsport
The main points to keep in mind are:
- KidSport vouchers have been reduced to $150; when parents receive an approved code they need to provide this to the club when registering. The code will expire 90 days from when it is approved. (Unfortunately, the code can only be sent via email – there is no ability to text this to parents.)
- All applicants must have a valid health care card to be eligible. It must list the child’s individual client reference number (CRN) - please check it has not expired.
- All applicants must apply for KidSport online via the website https://www.dsr.wa.gov.au/funding/individuals/kidsport/apply-for-kidsport
- All new clubs must meet the new eligibility criteria.
- All existing clubs will need to meet the mandatory KidSport eligibility criteria by 30 Nov 18. This could include getting an ABN and becoming incorporated.
