LOCAL PLANNING SCHEME AMENDMENT AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION

TOWN PLANNING SCHEME NO. 2 – AMENDMENT NO. 20
LOCAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN
LOT 10 (NO 1) NEW STREET, WILLIAMS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Planning and Development Act 2005, notice is hereby given that the Shire has initiated Amendment No 20 for the purpose of commencing public advertising.
The Amendment proposes to
- Introduce new land use definitions in ‘Schedule 1-Interpretations’ for a bulky goods showroom, car park, trade display, trade supplies, and warehouse storage:
- In ‘Schedule 5 – Additional Uses’, modifying the existing additional use table headings by:
(a) Deleting reference to ‘Particulars of Land’ and inserting ‘Description of Land’;
(b) Deleting reference to ‘Permitted Uses’ and inserting ‘Additional Uses’; and
(c) Deleting ‘Development Standards’.
And inserting the following Additional Uses for Lot 10 New Street, Williams as follows:
3. The use of Lot 10 New Street, Williams is required to be incidental to the operation of the Rural Supply Store currently operating on Lot 150 Albany Highway, Williams.
The additional uses are required to be developed generally in accordance with a Local Development Plan as approved by the local government.
Amending the Scheme Map accordingly.
A Local Development Plan for Lot 10 is being advertised concurrently with this scheme amendment.
The Amendment document and Local Development Plan can be viewed on the Shire website www.williams.wa.gov.au The Local Development Plan is included as Attachment 1 in the Amendment document.
Alternatively, hardcopy plans and documents setting out and explaining the proposals are available for inspection at the Shire of Williams, 9 Brooking Street, Williams during office hours until the 6 November 2023.
Submissions on the Scheme Amendment and the Local Development Plan may be made in writing and sent to the Chief Executive Officer, Shire of Williams, PO Box 96, Williams WA 6391 or emailed to shire@williams.wa.gov.au. Submissions should be lodged on or before 5.00pm on Monday, 6 November 2023.
This Amendment is available for inspection in order to provide an opportunity for public comment and it should not be construed that final approval will be granted.
